Is there a difference in a toy purchased here in the US vs Hong Kong?

I bought off Ebay Ben 10 action figures. The seller is from Hong Kong. I got the items but they are a little different than the ones I bought at Wal Mart. The color is a little darker and the figure doesn’t appear to be as stable as the ones bought here. Is there a way to tell if it is a knock off?

Those are some signs of knock offs? Also the difference could be the price.

    (Just a guss)
    - It could be a knock off.
    - It could be a HK or China edition of the action figure. It may be still manufactured by an authorized factory, but the material and process could be different. If the action figure is targeted to sell $5 each in US, it may be targeted to sell $1 in mainland China as Chinese aren’t that rich. In this case, the verion that sold in China may use a cheaper material or process.
